Prep in My Step: Colored in Coral

I went through this little craze last fall where everything I bought just happened to be this gorgeous coral color. I love it, I think I bought about 5 different lipstick shades in this color too. I'm crazy about the necklace I'm wearing here. I stumbled upon the art nouveau necklace this past First Fridays at this antique shop called Urban Mining, it's tucked away off of Main and Walnut. It's only open the first weekend of every month so I'll have to make a special date to drop by there again.

The coral Ralph Lauren sweater is a thrift as well as, the navy polka-dot blouse ($3+$2). The pants were on sale from Macy's ($45). The earring were a gift and the necklace an antique ($0+$3). The LF bag is from TJ ($30). Finally, the white kitten heels were also thrifted, they really are the perfect basic white little pump ($4).
Total out of pocket: $87

Thanks to my wonderful mother for taking the photos.

Sweet Tangerine: Something's Off-White

My favorite thing about spring is the hats! I got this white straw hat at an antique mall at the end of last summer and I've just been dying to pull it out again. Here it is, enjoy!

I found the straw hat at River Market Antique Mall and couldn't pass it up ($10). The earrings and necklace I just bought from Francesca's where I happened to run into an old friend from French class ($12+$20)! The sunglasses are Michael Kors via TJ ($20). I made the crinkle crepe de chine blouse last summer using an old pattern of my mother's ($7). The skirt and the clutch are from a thrift store I frequent most often ($3+$1). The gold knotted belt was my mother's and the shoes are a thrift as well ($0+$4).

Hi Hat: Boyish and Sweet

My favorite thing to do is to discover new places. It seems as though every single time my friend Ashley and I get together we always have an adventure making new discoveries. Yesterday we came across the most precious little cafe tucked away in the West Plaza neighborhood, it's call Hi Hat Cafe. I almost hate to share it it's so cute, but if you're in the area and want to sip your coffee in complete serenity next to a trickling stream, definitely swing by.

I love finding reasons to wear this Kangol newsboy hat. It is one of my most cherished things I received from my grandfather's wardrobe when he passed ($0). The blouse was my mothers ($0). The scarf and earrings were gifts ($0+$0). The navy capris were on sale at Macy's ($30). The kitten heel pumps are from Charlotte Russe, one of those pairs I've really worn out, they're such a neat platinum color ($15)! Finally, the MK shades and London Fog bag are from TJ ($20+$30).
Total out of pocket: $95

Relaxed in Denim: With a Punch of Pink

My Friday "casual." I spent the first half of my day relaxing at my favorite cafe in Brookside, The Roasterie, and the rest of my afternoon I spent shopping. The objective was shoes, but of course I stumbled upon a dress that I couldn't refuse at Ann Taylor (SNEAK PEAK, they're having their 30% off Spring Sale).

My first denim look in a while. It was time to wind down after an eventful week at my new job. The flare high-waisted jeans are DKNY from Costco ($15). The petal pink blouse is a thrift, as well as the ivory pumps ($6+$2). The bag and shades are from TJ ($30+$20). Finally, the earrings, scarf, and cardigan are all courtesy of my mother's closet ($0+$0+$0).
Total out of pocket: $73

Lightly Layered: In Hues of Purple

One of my all time favorite dresses, I got it on a trip to San Diego a few years ago and fell in love at first sight. The lavender collared dress has some incredibly beautiful detail to it, I almost felt ashamed to cover it up. I'll have to show it off a little better and wear it again soon!

The lavender collared dress was a steal at a boutique ($30). The ELLE floral blouse was on sale at Kohl's ($20). The purple Chinese Laundry pumps were a thrift and looked as though they'd never been worn ($3). The orchid petal earrings are from my mother ($0). The tiered pearl necklace I've  had forever and the broach on the necklace was a gift (?+$0). Finally, the white London fog bag is from TJ ($30).
Total out of pocket: $73

Thank you mother for taking the lovely pictures in your lovely garden!
